Penn Action - Advancing Progressive Values and a Progression Vision for Pennsylvania

A Million Doors for Peace A Million Doors for Peace

The upside-down priorities of the Bush administration and previous Republican-led Congresses have dramatically shifted the tax burden and the burden of war onto the shoulders of working and middle-class families. In order to pay for large tax cuts for millionaires and endless war in Iraq, the administration continues to push for drastic cuts in funding for the services on which working families rely.

Penn Action is a proud participant in the Million Doors for Peace canvass. On Saturday Sept. 20th, 25,000 volunteers from all 50 states will contact one million people and ask them to sign a petition urging the next Congress to bring U.S. troops home from Iraq within one year.

Million Doors for Peace will be the year's largest anti-war mobilization.
